WARNING: ACTIVE ARBITRATION REMEDIES Wikipedia:Arbitration/Requests/Case/Antisemitism in Poland#Article sourcing expectations (9 May 2021): The Arbitration Committee advises that administrators may impose "reliable-source consensus required" as a discretionary sanction on all articles on the topic of Polish history during World War II (1933-45), including the Holocaust in Poland. On articles where "reliable-source consensus required" is in effect, when a source that is not a high quality source (an article in a peer-reviewed scholarly journals, an academically focused book by a reputable publisher, and/or an article published by a reputable institution) is added and subsequently challenged by reversion, no editor may reinstate the source without first obtaining consensus on the talk page of the article in question or consensus about the reliability of the source in a discussion at the Reliable Sources Noticeboard. |

Request for extended edit rights
[edit]Hi this is David Merrill. I don’t know why it’s saying I’m not logged in because it looks to me like I am. But anyway I’m asking for extended privileges is because I’m in kind of in an unusual situation. Unique, even.
I was one of the very first users who started Wikipedia. In the old Wikipedia system before they switched to custom software in 2002(?) I was user number 118. I made literally thousands of edits. Then they replaced the platform and the records of all previous edits were lost.
This is a link to an article that talks about me creating the page for evolution.
http://www.datadeluge.com/2012/06/evolution-of-evolution-on-wikipedia.html?m=1
I also created the initial pages for Gay Rights and many other controversial pages.
I’m a studying the Holocaust and want to help with those pages but many of them are locked due to vandalism. Please consider making an exception for me so I can do that.
You can also check out my Twitter, @DrDavidInDC, where I’ve made many tweets about the Holocaust.
I can provide a reference from a tenured professor who has known me personally for a decade.
You can reach me on Twitter at the address above with any questions.
Thank you, David Merrill David Merrill (talk) 18:00, 26 June 2023 (UTC)
- @David Merrill, I don't know where you would request such a thing, but this talk page isn't it. Wikipedia:Teahouse is a general forum for getting help; they can probably steer you the right direction. Good luck. Xan747 (talk) 00:39, 23 July 2023 (UTC)

Please remove this sentence:
From the Warsaw Ghetto, Jews were deported to Nazi concentration camps and mass-killing centers.
and add this in its place:
Jews were deported from the Warsaw Ghetto to Nazi concentration camps and mass-killing centers.
There's no apparent reason to have the prepositional phrase at the start of the sentence. 123.51.107.94 (talk) 23:13, 18 February 2024 (UTC)
- Done I agree, this reads better. Jamedeus (talk) 01:08, 25 February 2024 (UTC)

The article uses both "center" and "centre", and "labor" and "labour". Please change "centre" and "labour" to "center" and "labor", or vice versa; it doesn't matter which. 123.51.107.94 (talk) 23:23, 18 February 2024 (UTC)
Correction of photo caption.
[edit]The caption to the photo of the partly demolished building has an error in it. The name of the second street is "Nowolipie", not "Nowolipia". The latter is the Polish declination of the nominative. As English is not a declined language, in translation the nominative should be used. If in doubt about the name, Google it. 159.205.221.240 (talk) 09:46, 5 March 2024 (UTC)
